* women in design, inspiration *

Jessica Walsh is one of the women who inspires me the most in the design world. Her creativity and her honesty are really motivating. I decided to make her portrait, based on a photo she posted on her Instagram.

I tried to capture the essence of the pose and played a lot with the shapes and the silhouette, while trying to keep her recognizable. This work of stylization is, in my opinion, one of the most interesting aspect in the process of creating a portrait.

Then, *magic of social media*, Kim Krakowiak made a 3D character based on my illustration. It was so cool to discover my concept produced with a new technique, thank you Tim!
