“Les inspirantes” , or “Inspiring women” in english, is a personal project launched in 2017. I challenged myself to draw portraits of the women who inspire me and whom I admire, whether they are artists, actresses, singers, or entrepreneurs. Portrait is, in my opinion, one of the most complex exercises in illustration, but also one of the most exciting! I always try to find the subtle balance between resemblance and simplicity, between the pure observation of facial features and the rendering of more subjective emotions.
